Built around the Silver Lake Reservoir, the Silver Lake/Echo Park communities are known for having plenty of independently owned local businesses that add to their appeal and charm.

Silver Lake and Echo Park are also popular for their intensely unique and creative communities. Pioneering artists, civic leaders, and many other interesting and colorful personalities have all called these neighborhoods home at some point in their lives.

Echo Park is home to the historic Taix French restaurant, which was originally located in Downtown LA. Today, it doesn’t only thrive as one of the must-try restaurants in the area, but is also proudly a community landmark.

Because of its scenic neighborhood views, Echo Park has also been a favorite shooting location for TV and film productions, from Charlie Chaplin films to The Fast and The Furious franchise, to Lady Gaga’s A Star Is Born.
