A neighborhood located within central Los Angeles, Hollywood Hills West has a population of around 43,000. Not as busy as its neighbors, it offers a welcoming, homey feel while providing easy access to a variety of lifestyle and entertainment options.

Hollywood Hills West is bordered by Studio City to the north, Hollywood and West Hollywood to the south, Hollywood Hills to the east, and Beverly Hills and Coldwater Canyon to the west. Laurel Canyon Boulevard runs right through the area. With the neighborhood’s central location, residents enjoy sweeping views of the canyon, the Hollywood Sign, and the Los Angeles Basin.

A relatively small community, Hollywood Hills West nevertheless presents a wide range of activities for all ages. At the Laurel Canyon Park, for example, you’ll find a gentle slope with an expansive space ideal for picnics with your family or a day out with the pooches.

At the Wattles Garden, you’ll find a 4.2-kilometer park loop trail that you can explore for about an hour and a half. Hiking along this trail will take you to dense bushes and rugged gullies that eventually open out to the Runyon Canyon.

From there, you can head over to Runyon Canyon Park. This park covers 160 acres of open space with amazing vistas of the Santa Monica Mountains. The Indian Rock, which sits at an elevation of 1,320 feet above sea level, is also a popular spot for sightseeing. Don’t be surprised if you run into a movie star or two, as this park is very close to celebrity residences in Hollywood and the rest of Hollywood Hills.
