Encompassing the Miracle Mile shopping district, Mid-Wilshire is a neighborhood in the central district of Los Angeles. It is bordered by Fairfax, Hancock Park, and Windsor Square on the north, and Mid-City on the south. To the west sit Beverly Grove and Carthay, and out east, you’ll find Koreatown and Arlington Heights. The community covers an area of around 2.78 square miles, with a population estimate of just over 47,000.

Mid-Wilshire is known for having the very first car traffic downtown in Los Angeles, as well as for its wealth of historic arts and culture landmarks. In this neighborhood, you will find several Art Deco-styled buildings that used to house retailers in the 1920s and 1930s. Today, this architectural style continues to play a major role in defining the area’s character.
