Scottman Wall served as my Realtor of choice as I bought my first single family residence in 2002. I was in my mid-20s and purchasing my first home seemed a daunting task. I had been living in the South Bay for 2 years, and revised my search to the Hollywood Hills where I could find more square footage for the price. Scottman helped me to find a lower-priced home in the higher-priced neighborhood of Beachwood Canyon. He was able to ascertain various concessions from the seller and I was able to secure the purchase in the lower third of valuations for comparable properties in the neighborhood. Throughout the negotiating process, Scottman kept me apprised and taught me many nuances about purchasing a home at a young age. He was always available, accommodating, and willing to help. In our first home, my wife and I got married, had our first child, and rode the real estate wave in the neighborhood for the next 11 years. Having made several improvements on the property, I began searching for a larger home for our growing family in late 2012.

As we began the process of listing our first home while searching for another house, the choice remained clear as to who would serve as the realtor to sell our primary domicile and begin looking for a new property. Scottman showed us several houses in the Hollywood Hills area near where we already lived. One of the first homes we initially visited remained on the market at a price that we placed slightly beyond our budget. After going to several more showings for houses priced a little less expensive, we revisited the property that we thought was beyond our reach. Scottman simply said, "David, that is your home." From that point on, Scottman did everything necessary to make that dream a reality.

The Sellers stipulated that our new home could not be purchased contingent on the sale of our property. Therefore, in a very difficult post-mortgage lending crisis lending environment, Scottman helped us to negotiate the financing necessary to complete the sale prior to selling our first home. We completed the purchase in April 2013. In the meantime, Scottman remained diligent as the Selling Agent for our first home. We closed the sale of our first home a few months later, and Scottman was able to achieve a sale price near the top range for similar properties in the neighborhood. This allowed us to translate the equity from that property to our new one, and we refinanced at a rate and principal amount that set my family up for future financial success.

In less than 10 years, comparable houses in our neighborhood have doubled in value. Scottman helped us find a forever home where we will always have roots in the Southern California area. His knowledge and expertise on both the buying and selling side of the market was something that we experienced first hand, and is something that we will always be grateful for in the future. Whenever we might look to buy or sell in the SoCal market in the future, having enjoyed over 2 decades of our relationship with Scottman Wall, our choice will be easy in terms of representation.
